Netflix has yet again brought to your screens another well crafted show, Young Wallander. This adds to the numerous visual media productions based on the Swedish author Henning Mankell. The makers of the show have set it in contemporary Sweden with the theme being the immigration status of many. The target audience being the younger generation who will now know the opera loving alcoholic who has prevailed over our screens for a long time.
Young Wallander Season 2 Release Date
Young Wallander Season 1 made its debut on Netflix on 3rd September 2020. The series comprises of six episodes each an hour long. Young Wallander is about the larger-than life character that is Kurt Wallander who has a number of books to his credit. As of now the show has received positive response and the audience love its take. If things continue in this path, Young Wallander Season 2 is scheduled to release in fall 2021.

Young Wallander Season 2 Plot
Wallander attempts to save a white Swedish teenager but is unsuccessful in his attempts. The teenager has a grenade in his mouth and has the Swedish flag painted over his face. The kid does in an immigrant neighborhood and this leads to an anti immigrant protrst across the country. Wallander, Dillane and Rask take it upon themselves to find the culprits to bring this drastic cause to an end. The Munck family patriarch has decided to make his younger son Gustav his heir over his oldest Karl-Axel. Karl-Axel goes into a spiral and does his best to turn the opinion of the country against the immigrants. This will affect the family and in return Gustav. Young Wallander Season will divulge details on Wallander and Mona’s relationship and Wallander’s eventual return to the police department as he continues to investigate Karl-Axel.
