England have a strong chance of winning the 2020 Six Nations now after Scotland hammered tournament-favourites France on Sunday. France had kicked off the Six Nations with an impressive victory over England on the opening weekend.
They followed that up with wins over Italy and Wales to put them in pole position to win a first Grand Slam since 2010.
But the shot themselves in the foot against Scotland on Sunday when Mohamed Haouas was sent off in 37th minute for punching Jamie Ritchie.
France had put themselves back in front moments earlier but going down to 14 men with another half of rugby to play ultimately cost them.
Scotland took advantage of the extra man, running away with a commanding victory.

And Scotland’s win would have been well received in England with Eddie Jones’ side now having a chance to win the championship in the final weekend of the tournament.
Ireland too have fate in their own hands at this moment as they still have matches against France and Italy to come.
Crucially though, Ireland need to pick up a bonus-point win over France as well as recording an expected victory over Italy.
England are level on points with France with both teams having just one game remaining.

What England need to win the 2020 Six Nations
This partly rests on what Ireland do in their final two games and what happens in regards to the postponed Six Nations games.
England’s game against Italy has yet been rescheduled, meaning they will likely have to watch on as France face Ireland next weekend.
An Ireland bonus-point win would prove the most troublesome result for England, but anything else would mean good news for Jones.
The title could well come down to points difference with England already holding a brief advantage over their rivals.
Given England are likely to face Italy after next weekend, they will head into the match knowing exactly how many points they need to clinch the title.
