The ongoing debate over the Citizenship Amendment Act is intensifying day after day with political parties giving their takes on the issue. The preamble of the Constitution has become the center of attraction in the ongoing Citizenship Amendment Act where many were spotted reading the preamble during the protests.

On the occasion of 71st  Republic Day of India, the Congress Party via their official Twitter handle took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi in regard to the ongoing debate over the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Well, Congress has gifted a copy of the constitution to PM Modi. They also shared the screenshot of the order which was billed for E-Block, Central Secretariat on a pay on delivery mode. Sharing the screenshot of their order on Twitter, the Congress Party wrote:

“Dear PM, the Constitution is reaching you soon. When you get time off from dividing the country, please do read it. Regards, Congress.”

Here, check out their Tweet:

In another Tweet, Congress Party accused the BJP of violating Article 14 of the constitution that promises equality before the law. They tweeted:

“A lesson the BJP has failed to understand is that all persons no matter creed, caste or gender are guaranteed equality before the law under Article 14 of the Constitution. It is this article that is completely violated by the govt’s Citizenship Amendment Act,”

Well, the tweet didn’t go down well with the BJP supporters who are now trolling the Congress party left, right and center. While many took hilarious digs at the Congress for their past mistakes, there were many who trolled for gifting the book by ‘pay on delivery’ mode.
