The Kissing Booth 2 Ending Explained
Ellie Evans and her reformed bad boy boyfriend Noah Flynn have the most romantic summer. Noah will soon be flying off to Harvard and the long distance scares them both. But Noah and Ellie spend every waking moment with one another making memories that will help them last through their time apart.
Ellie does her best to juggle her long distance relationship, her senior year and being supportive of her best friend Lee. Lee and Ellie had always dreamed of going to UC Berkeley for college, a place where their mothers became best friends. If these weren’t enough problems on her plate, she begins to have a complicated close friendship with a new handsome classmate Marco. While at Harvard, Noah befriends a beautiful college girl Chloe.
Things get tough in their relationship with Elle visits Noah in college and fins Chloe’s earring below his bed. Due to this she ends up getting close to Marco and they team up for a dance competition. Elle and Marco share a kiss post winning the competition.
When Elle visits Noah’s house for Thanksgiving she is taken aback to see Chloe there. Elle and Lee’s friendship becomes strained when his girlfriend Rachel has enough of Elle being the third wheel in their relationship. Lee also finds out that she secretly applied to colleges in Boston so she can be closer to Noah, instead of sticking to their plan to go to college together at UC Berkeley. Elle ends up patching things up with Rachel and she gets back together with Lee.
Marco now has feelings for Elle and needs a moment alone with her. Elle keeps running away from him until they get caught in the Kissing Booth together. It is there that Elle realizes that she wants to be with Noah. Noah and Chloe are at the airport and even Noah realizes that he wants to be with Elle. Elle goes to the airport but meet Chloe who says Noah already left. Chloe tells Elle that nothing happened between her and Noah. She had come for Thanksgiving so that she could befriend Elle. Elle texts Noah and they meet at the gazebo reconciling their relationship.
At graduation Elle and Lee discuss college. Lee got accepted at UC Berkeley but Elle says she has been wait-listed at every college. But that is not the complete truth. Elle has been accepted by both UC Berkeley as well as Harvard. The movie ends with a cliffhanger and we are unable to find out whether Elle takes a decision.
