Director SB Jananathan was actively working on the final editing work of ‘Laabam.’ Last Thursday (March 11), he went home from editing work for lunch. His assistants have been visiting the house because he did not return to editing work for a long time. He was unconscious at home at the time.
He was immediately admitted to Apollo Hospital. Doctors admitted him to the intensive care unit and examined him. He was bleeding in his brain and was undergoing intensive treatment. SP Jananathan was born on May 7, 1959, in Thanjavur district. Desiring to be a director, he worked as an assistant director to P. Lenin, Bharathan, Vincent Selva, and Kathir. His first film, ‘Iyarkai.’ The film was critically acclaimed. Following that, SB Jananathan has directed the films ‘E’, ‘Peraanmai’ and ‘Porambokku Ennum Podhu Udaimai’.
