‘Masakali’ song from the 2009 movie Delhi 6 is one of the most loved song from the movie. The masterpiece was composed by the legendary AR Rahman and features Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. The original song Masakali was sung by Mohit Chauhan and written by Prasoon Joshi.
On Wednesday, Tara Sutaria and Sidharth Malhotra’s much-awaited music video Masakali 2.0 was released and it has been trending since then. Tara Sutaria and Sidharth Malhotra were last seen sharing the screen space in the 2019 film Marjaavaan.
The song is sung by Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon and has been recreated by the music composer Tanishk Bagchi. The music video has been directed and choreographed by Adil Shaikh.
The lead actor Sidharth Malhotra took to his social media and shared the video song with the fans. Sharing the track on social media, Sidharth Malhotra wrote: “Seal it with love and your Masakali indoors! #Masakali2 out now.”
The 3-minute long video features Sidharth and Tara as a romantic couple, who break into a hotel after getting drenched in rain. The music video has opened up to mixed reactions from the netizens. While many loved the video and the peppy beats, there were many who were disappointed with the remake.
