Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez has decided to finally give in to Zinedine Zidane’s wishes and make a move to sign Paul Pogba, according to reports in Spain.
Madrid have long been linked with a move to sign Manchester United ace Pogba, and now look set to make their move.
The Frenchman is widely expected to leave Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, despite reports claiming he had changed his mind on leaving.
The central midfielder is out of contract in the summer of 2021, and is believed to be keen to leave at the end of this season rather than let his contract run down.
Madrid aren’t the only club interested in signing him, with Juventus also claimed to be monitoring his situation at Old Trafford.

Madrid boss Zidane is a long-term admirer of Pogba’s, and was vocal about wanting to sign him last summer.
But the La Liga giants were unable to afford a deal after forking out £275million on players such as Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy, Luka Jovic, Rodrygo and Eder Militao.
This summer, however, the French boss seems to be determined to get his man, and Perez is set to give him the green light.
Spanish outlet El Desmarque reports that the Madrid chief has finally decided to relent to Zidane’s wishes and sign the Man Utd ace.

He is unlikely to come cheap, with United set to demand at least £100m for their midfield maestro.
They may have to take a reduced fee, however, due to his contractual situation.
United have the option to extend his contract through to 2022, and could do so in order to bleed more money from Madrid.
Speaking on Thursday, however, Pogba’s agent insisted he was desperate to take a big-name client of his to the Bernabeu.

“My relationship with Real Madrid is very good,” he declared. “I often speak to José Angel, it’s interesting, as well as a pleasure, to talk to him about football and the events related to FIFA.
“One day I hope to bring a great champion to Real. At the moment, I have [PSG keeper Alphonse] Areola, but it’s on loan.
“This summer I would like to bring a big player to Madrid on a permanent deal.
“It would be a pride for me and for all my players, because Real are a great side.”
