RB Leipzig have brutally mocked a Tottenham supporter who suggested on social media that Arsenal target Dayot Upamecano would be playing for the Lilywhites in the future.
The defender has enjoyed an enthralling season in the Bundesliga and Champions League for the Bulls, and this has sparked the attention of several top sides across Europe.
Arsenal, who have been looking to solidify their backline, are still reportedly keeping a firm eye on the 21-year-old, having even made a failed bid for him during the last summer’s transfer window, according to Bild.
But it looks as though the centre-back’s club are going to cause huge problems for any side who is gunning for the young defender.
On Twitter, RB Leipzig posted two pictures of Upamecano as a little boy, with the caption saying: “So sweet! Although his opponents may not think the same.
“Which Bull is in focus today? [who is this?]”
This prompted a Spurs fan to reply: “A future Spurs player.”
But the Leipzig account retorted with: “Spurs and a future…? This doesn’t add up…”
The reply would certainly rub salt in the wounds of the Tottenham fans still further, having seen their side dumped out of the Champions League by the German club in the round of 16, beating the Premier League club 4-0 on aggregate.
