Rakesh Tikait is a political figure and spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) from Uttar Pradesh, India. In November 2020, his organization BKU joined 2020–2021 Indian farmers’ protest supporting the legal assurance of MSP and removal of Farm bills and he said, “When the Prime Minister says that the minimum support price would continue, why it can’t be included in the law.”
Rakesh Tikait’s career
After the death of his father, Tikait officially joined BKU and later became a spokesperson. In 2018, Tikait was the leader of Kisan Kranti Yatra from Haridwar, Uttrakhand to Delhi. Tikait also contested loksabha election twice but was unsuccessful both time. In first election he was candidate from Rashtriya Lok Dal and independent as second time.
