Munthanai Mudichu is one of the iconic movies of 80’s tamil cinemas and it was considered to be a movie with an extraordinary screenplay directed by Bhagyaraj. Actor Bhagyaraj played the title role of that movie and the remake of Munthanai Mudichu is officially announced today by producer JSB Sathish.
Previously JSB Sathish produced a movie with Vikram Prabhu as the lead title “Asuraguru”. Munthanai Mudichu remake will have actor Sasikumar taking up the role played by Bhagyaraj while it will be interesting to see who will be playing role of Urvashi. Urvashi as lead lady had a lot of scope in this movie and she went on to win a national award for this movie. The film is all about a mischievous girl (played by Urvashi) who falls in the love with a widower teacher, which leads to a lot of confusion and trouble in the village.
This movie was a blockbuster and was remade in Telugu, Hindi and Kannada and had music by Illayaraja. Stay tuned for more updates.
