Manchester United fans laid into Jesse Lingard after he was filmed playing a bizarre game with team-mate Andreas Pereira.
The Red Devils has come under fire from fans, with no Premier League goal or assist for the club since January last year.
With the arrival of Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford, many think the Englishman’s position is under threat .
Footage has emerged, though, which shows him preparing for internal competition in a bizarre way.
In the clip, the squad are training for their Europa League clash against Club Brugge.
Most of the players are involved in a game of rondo, where two defenders try to get the ball back from a circle of players.
But Lingard can be seen in the background with a ball alongside Pereira.
And the forward stars putting his knees on the ball, quickly alternating before letting the Brazilian tap it with his head.
The United star then swings his leg around the ball before performing a hand stand.
This footage was shared on Twitter on Wednesday evening, where it has been viewed more than a million times.
And the United faithful were not happy with the 27-year-old.
“This boils my blood,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “He’s taking the p***.”
While a third laid down the facts.
“United pay Lingard £135,000 per week to do this in training,” they said.
“The same man who has 0 goals and 0 assists in 21 league apps this season. What a total embarrassment.”
And a fourth added: “No wonder he’s s***.”
A fifth had a revelation, with: “So we all now finally know what Lingard does during Man Utd training sessions.”
With a sixth simply writing: “So this is how Lingard trains.”
But team-mate Luke Shaw could face a problem when United take on Club Brugge, according to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
