Jagame Thandhiram is one of the most awaited movies of actor Dhanush and fans are eagerly waiting to see Dhanush as a Don in this movie. The makers have shot the major portion of the movie in United Kingdom and the entire budget of the movie is 50 crores. Jagame Thandhiram was suppose to release in June 2020 but Coronavirus have made it impossible for the release.
On 18th June director Karthik Subbaraj said that Jagame Thandhiram will not have a direct OTT release but looks like things are changing now and it was mainly due to Akshay Kumar’s movie Laxmmi Bomb having a direct OTT release. Akshay Kumar put forth producer’s safety over his movie releasing in theatres and informed them to go ahead with OTT release if it’s profitable for producers. Looks like Dhanush has said the same thing to producers and agreed to have a OTT release if it’s profitable for them. The makers of JT Ynot Studios and Reliance Entertainment are keenly working with OTT platforms for a release. This news is confirmed by the popular Youtube Channel Touring Talkies.
It would be interesting to see which OTT platform would bag the rights of Jagame Thandhiram. The first single from Jagame Thandhiram “Rakita Rakita” will be release on 28th July 2020.
