Besides entertaining us with its ocean of content, social media can turn out to be a blessing sometimes. Be it taking a stand for justice or uniting to help someone, social media has always held the backs of people in difficult times.
The recent incident involving popular writer and actor, Tigmanshu Dhulia not just restores our faith in humanity but is yet another testimony of the power of social media.
Recently, Tigmanshu Dhulia took to his Twitter and revealed how his niece was traveling to Bangalore via train and was being harassed by four drunk boys. The writer shared the details of his niece and the train she was traveling with and revealed how railway helpline numbers weren’t responding to his niece.

Soon after he asked out for help from Twitterati, people tarted tagging Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Commerce in their tweets asking them to help his niece out. Many of them even called helpline numbers and reported about the situation of Tigmanshu’s niece.
Here, check out how Twitterati united to help Tigmanshu in this:
Sir ask her to call helpline numbers 182 or 138. Someone i know went through this. Railway police came. Though often it depends on the will of those on duty. Praying for her

Just share details of the train and coach and tag the world. You never know what those drunkards could do in that inebriated state if they see her going live. I hope she’ll be safe. And I hope those goons get a taste of the medicine they so very much deserve

Minister @PiyushGoyal ji, Kindly have a one single social account for such safety related complaints.
A person has to tag so many handles. And pray dt one of them would respond.
Also, please take note of why Helpline numbers were not responding.

What a wonderful display of care and support to a fellow citizen on train, great to see filled up supporters ready to help. Religion, caste and language doesn’t matter if we have a beautiful heart. So proud of all who stood up at right time
