Born in a Gujrati family on 13th February 1986 in Nagaon district of Assam. Rashmi Desai is the daughter of Ajay and Rasila Desai. Rashmi’s mother struggled and brought her up as her father left the world early. Rashmi also has a young brother named Gaurav Desai.
Married Life
Rashami fell in love with her Uttaran co-star Nandish Sandhu. The duo dated for some time before tying the nuptial knot in 2012. Unfortunately, their marriage didn’t last long. The couple separated in 2014 and filed for divorce in 2015.
Rashami claimed that the reason behind their divorce was because Nandish had too many ‘female friends’.
Initial career success
Rashami Desai is one such actress of today’s times who needs no introduction, courtesy to her notable work. The actress has been in the showbiz world for a very long time and established a name for herself.
Rashami started her career in the Hindi television industry with her debut show Ravan where she portrayed the role of Mandodari. Post that, Rashami got her major breakthrough in the year 2009. While Rashami has had a flourishing career in the Hindi television industry, very few know that she has worked before extensively in Bhojpuri films. Yes, you read it right!
Rashami has been a part of many Bhojpuri films like Hum Balbrahma Chaari Tu Kanya Kumari, Balma Bada Nadaan, Gazab Bhail Rama, Umariya Kaili Tohre Naam, Bandan Toote Na, Kangna Khanke Piya Ke Angna, Shahar Wali Jaan Mareli among others.
The actress has also worked in many regional movies like Superstar which is a Gujarati movie and Kanyadaan which is an Assamese movie.
In her long career span, Rashami has won several awards too for her mind-blowing performance in her shows. She was nominated 10 times for awards in various categories out of which she has won 8 times. Now that’s an achievement!
Her Journey In Bigg Boss 13
While Rashami is currently in Bigg Boss 13 house, she has been constantly in the headlines for some of the other reasons. First, for her nasty fights and arguments with her Dil Se Dil Tak co-star Siddharth Shukla and then for her allegedly love relationship with Arhaan Khan. Rashami’s growing closeness with Arhaan grabbed all the attention in the show and there were also rumors about the two getting married in the Bigg Boss house. While Arhaan is eliminated from the show, it will be interesting to see if his relationship with Rashami Desai survives once she is out of the house.
