The 65th edition of the Filmfare awards recently took place in Guwahati. Zoya Akhtar directorial ‘Gully Boy’ starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, dominated the awards and made history by winning all the 13 awards for which it was nominated in.
The movie created history by becoming the movie to grab 13 awards, which is the highest number of awards won by any movie in Bollywood. The movie broke the records of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial ‘Black’ that won 11 awards.

While Ranveer Singh won the award for the best actor award, on the other hand, Alia Bhatt grabbed the award for the best actress. ‘MC Sher’ Siddhant Chaturvedi who won our hearts with his performance in the movie won the award for the best actor in supporting role male. The female award of the same category was won by Amruta Subhash, who played the role of Ranveer’s mother in the movie.
Besides this, the movie won the Best movie award and Zoya Akhtar grabbed the award for the best direction.
Ranveer Singh, who couldn’t keep calm after his movie made a new record took to his social media and expressed his happiness via Instagram post. He wrote:
“A very special moment that I’ll never forget ???????? receiving the Filmfare Best Actor trophy from one of the Greats..Legend of the silver screen..the one and only @madhuridixitnene . Etched in my heart forever ❤️ #blessed #grateful“

Deepika Padukone also left a comment on his post expressing how proud she is of her hubby’s achievement. Calling the movie ‘Historic’, Deepika wrote:
