One Arsenal fan got under Cesc Fabregas’ skin after accusing the midfielder of being a snake following an incident as a Chelsea player.

Fabregas has an immense wealth of respect in the Premier League after appearing for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Spaniard left the Gunners for boyhood club Barcelona in 2011 before returning to England in 2014 with the Blues.

Despite joining their London rivals, the majority of Arsenal fans fondly remember Fabregas after making over 300 appearances for the club.

However, one supporter called out the 32-year-old on Twitter, branding him ‘a snake’.

It comes after an incident where Fabregas tapped the Chelsea badge when playing for the Blues at the Emirates as he walked off the pitch.

Fabregas rebutted that he would never do such a thing and had the utmost respect for Arsenal.

“If you think I’m capable of doing what you are suggesting I did, you don’t know me at all and my feelings towards all of you whatsoever,” he posted.

The playmaker had a fine career at the Gunners, taking over the No. 4 shirt from club legend Patrick Vieira at the age of 18.

By 21 he was the captain but trophies eluded him in north London after securing one FA Cup.

His time in the west of the capital was more successful, where he won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup and the League Cup.

Fabregas has also forged out a successful career for his career after making 110 caps for Spain.

He was part of the all-conquering side that lifted the European Championship twice in 2008 and 2012 as well as winning the 2010 World Cup.

Perhaps his most famous contribution was setting up Andres Iniesta for the winning goal against the Netherlands in 2010.

The midfield maestro currently plays for Monaco but is in self-isolation at the moment due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

“We have to look at the positives of this quarantine and being able to spend so much time with my family it’s definitely one of them for me,’ he said on social media. “Be safe, be responsible, stay home.”
