Sometimes filmmakers suffer a huge loss when their movie never gets released in theatres. The dazzling world of entertainment is not glittering to everyone and when the movie failed to make it into theatres it becomes the worst news for filmmakers. It is probably because a movie needs a lot of effort to complete.

Since some movies could not make into theatres due to many
reasons. Sometimes censor board creates an issue, sometimes shooting got delayed,
sometimes there are creative differences, and sometimes the death of someone
became the reason for never releases.

We have created a list of these notable Bollywood movies that were announced but never released.

1. Shoebite

Shoe bite is a movie directed by Shoojit Sircar featuring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. The movie was shot but joined the list of never-released movie.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted requesting to release the movie, but producers are having conflict for it.

2. Dus

Mukul Anand made a movie about Indian spies who prevent the Indo-Pak war. The original cast of the movie was Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt.

In the middle of the film, director Mukul Anand dies and the movie was halted.

3. Zameen

During the 90s many movies were shot but never released. One of them is Zameen starring Vindo Khanna, Madhuri Dixit, and Sridevi in lead roles.

The movie suffered budget issues and stooped midway. Zameen was helmed by Sholay famed director Ramesh Sippy.

4. Time Machine

Little you know that Bollywood also tried a sci-fi movie in the 90s featuring Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon. The movie was directed by Shekhar Kapoor.

The movie was only 70 percent completed and then avoided due to financial problems.

5. Chor Mandali

It was said that it should be Raj Kapoor’s last film as an actor. Chor Mandali was shot completely but never made into theatres due to creative differences.

The veteran actor Ashok Kumar was also cast in the movie alongside legendary Raj Kapoor.

6. Shuddhi

You must have heard the rumored about Karan Johar’s ambitious project Shuddhi a while ago. The film was announced under Dharma Production.

The cast was finalized for the movies. First Hritik and Kareena were approached for the lead roles. Both the actor denied.

Salman Khan was approached for the role, and Salman also
rejected the project due to the date issued. Varun Dhavan and Alia Bhatt were
approached for the movie, but the movie was delayed again due to creative
differences.

7. Chandni Chowk To Africa

The sequel of the movie was announced at the end of the movie Chandni Chowk To China. The movie featured Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the lead role and the movie was a box office disaster.

Maybe this is the reason that filmmakers didn’t risk to trouble the audience with the sequel of the movie.

8. Koochie Koochie Hota Hai

The animated version of Kuch Kuch Hota hai was scheduled to release in 2011. The filmmakers were very enthusiastic about the movie but it never released into theatres.

The voice of the characters was given by the original cast of the movie, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukharjee, and Kajol.

9. Munnabhai Chale America

After the two successful movies in the Munnabhai series, Raju Hirani announced the third installment of the movie.

The teaser of the movie was also released, and there was a huge buzz for the movie among the audience. Fans are still waiting for the movie.

10. Khuda Gawah

Can you imagine Amitabh Bachchan dressed in the attire of Cowboy? The look test from the movie Khuda Gawah showed that Amitabh Bachchan was about to look like never before avatar.

However, the film was halted after the shooting schedule of a few days. The title was later used for another Amitabh Bachchan movie with Sridevi.

11. Tiger

A movie was scheduled to release in 1980 titled Tiger. The movie title was inspired by the character Amitabh Bachchan played in the movie Khoon Pasina.

The film was stopped midway due to conflicts between actors and producers.

12. Bandhua

Another big movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman, and Pooja Bedi stopped midway.

It was the first collaboration of Amitabh Bachchan with J. P. Dutta, and the movie was based on bonded laborers.

13. Deva

Little you know that Amitabh Bachchan was about to collaborate with Subhash Ghai in the movie titled Deva.

The movie was postponed due to creative differences between actor and director.
