
One of the biggest refreshing change in Bollywood is the acceptance of talent wholeheartedly. Now actors don’t have criteria to look fair and handsome on camera but come up with acting skills.
There have been many cases in Bollywood when actors got rejected due to body-shaming trolls.

For instance, Amitabh Bachchan was rejected for many roles on the grounds of being too tall. But now Bollywood movies cast all the actors who can act in front of the camera. Some of these actors have made name shutting down body-shaming trolls.

1. Arjun Kapoor

Arjun Kapoor used to be a fat boy in his school days. He lost kilos of weight before making a debut in Bollywood movie. When he was asked about fat-shaming, he responded that saying it is silly.

He said, “It’s silly and stupid. Sometimes you push yourself so much to look good that you become unhealthy. The time has now gone off just being good-looking.”
2. Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai was trolled heavily when her post-pregnancy, people trolled her heavily because she used to be the world’s most beautiful woman.
Aishwarya never defended herself, but her husband Abhishek Bachchan decided to come forward for his wife.

He said, “Yes, she’s a public figure, but people forget she’s also a woman and now a mother and there’s a line that’s not to be crossed.
I don’t talk that way about any woman ever and it’s not graceful for anyone to talk about her like that either.”
3. Fardeen Khan

When Fardeen Khan stopped appearing in Bollywood movies, he put on a lot of weight.

Recently he was spotted in an event where he cleared that he is not ashamed, neither shammed for being fat. He said he would be happy if trolling him gave fun to people.
4. Huma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi posed for the cover shoot of Femina to take a stand against body shaming. In the interview with the magazine, she stated, “There are a lot of people out there who are just bullies.

They constantly keep telling you that you are too fat, too thin, you are too short, etc. Bullies will be bullies and body shaming is not cool.”
5. Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti Chopra was also a victim of fat-shaming, but Parineeti always ignored it. She said that the body-shaming will not matter that much and if someone is comfortable about his/her body then it would be fine.

If someone is not comfortable with his/her body then he/she needs to do something. However, nobody has the right to comment anyway.
6. Richa Chadda

Being an actress, Richa Chadda accepted that she is doing many things with her body. She said that she was told to gain weight for a film, lose weight for another, fix her nose, inflating her lips, grow hair, cut it short, wear Spanx, and many more.

She believes that an actress let go of these troubles and prepared fro the character’s requirement.
7. Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi already shed kilos of weight before making a debut in Bollywood. However, Sonakshi was slammed for overweight. In an interview, she opened up and said,

“It’s shameful. What is more important is that I better project a healthy body image. Tomorrow if I become skinny and not feel well, what’s the point?”
8. Sonam Kapoor

In a chat show with Arbaaz Khan, Sonam Kapoor said that she was heavily trolled for being skinny. She said, “people would say, you are skinny, fat, black, too tall, who will marry you?”

Well, these comments didn’t matter much to Sonam and she became the biggest fashion icon in the industry.
9. Zareen Khan

Zareen Khan was trolled for her weight and being too curvy. However, she is very unaffected by what people think of her.

She made it very clear that it is her life and her body and it is only her decision to what she would do with her body.
10. Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan gained weight for The Dirty Picture and got a lot of appreciation for her performance.She responded on body shaming admitting that she used to get bothered by such comments. Later she started loving herself.

She said, “I was in a battle with my body. I was angry with
it, hated it, because I thought if my body changed, then I would be acceptable
to everyone. But even at my thinnest, when I managed to lose a lot of weight, I
realized that I wasn’t fully acceptable to everyone. So really there’s no point
in trying to change yourself to suit others’ needs and ideas.”
