The Indian Film industry is growing rapidly and the number of films releasing each year is increasing. Every year we see some new faces in this industry but the downfall comes when some actors who’ve been working hard earlier are unable to cope up with this rising competition and in the end, their work just fades away.

So here we present you a list of those stars who tried hard to achieve success in acting but couldn’t.

1. Tusshar Kapoor

Though he has a strong Bollywood background, his work lacks that X-factor his family has. He couldn’t carve his success in Bollywood despite doing films of all genres like Khakee(action), Shootout At Lokhandwala (villainous), Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai(romance), Kya Kool Hai Hum(comedy), and many more. But his efforts went in vain when nothing suited him, he blamed the scripts for his flops.

2. Jackky Bhagnani

He’s the son of Vashu Bhagnani who is a great film producer and his film “F.A.L.T.U.” was a success and viewers really loved that film. But after that, he tried a lot but his work didn’t seem to impress the critics and got a lot of negative reviews. He’s still trying hard to shine in this industry and has turned into a producer himself now.

3. Dia Mirza

She’s a well-known face in this industry as she was the winner of Miss Asia Pacific 2000. She’s worked as a model, as an actress and also as a producer in Bollywood but it didn’t really leave an impact on the audience.

Her film “Rehnna Hai Tere Dil Mein” was the only notable work in her entire career and after that, her fame just went away. Now she’s working as the brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission and is an active social worker.

4. Himesh Reshammiya

His passion for music led him to great achievements and his work was loved in the music industry. But after that when he started acting, viewers really criticized him for his performance in films like Aap Ka Suroor, Karz and he kept on relaunching himself and still is but the viewers just refuse to watch his films anymore.

5. Hansika Motwani

You may remember her from “Koi Mil Gaya” and she was a child artist back then. Viewers were shocked when in 2007 she did “Aap Ka Suroor” opposite Himesh Reshammiya as she looked all grown up like a lady in the movie. She may have not tasted success in Bollywood but she’s a well-established actress in Tamil and Telugu movies and is doing extremely well in it.

6. Uday Chopra

Uday Chopra also comes from a strong Bollywood background as his father Yash Chopra was one of the best directors we had and his brother is also doing pretty well as a producer. His debut film was mohabbatein which release in the year 2000 starring srk and amitabh bachchan in the lead. After that he just did some handful of movies which did not work out that well.

Dhoom was really successful as it was a multi-starrer film, he had very little contribution to it. After a lot of unimpressive performance, he too realized that the viewers didn’t like his work.

7. Imran Khan

When his debut film “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” released in the year 2007, the audience really loved it and gave the film a thumbs up. Even his other films like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Delhi Belly were also a hit.

The struggle started when his films like Luck, Break Ke Baad, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, etc started going into the dump one after the other. After all the flops he just stopped working.

8. Ameesha Patel

Her debut film opposite Hrithik Roshan “Kaho Na Pyaar Hai” was a major hit and she received lots of praise for it. Her role in “Gadar-Ek Prem Katha” also added to her fame, but after some time she couldn’t handle her success and work started fading due to her failed projects in Bollywood. Eventually, her fans started forgetting her.

9. Jugal Hansraj

He started off his career as a child artist in the film “Masoom” which released in the year 1983 opposite Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah. For a long time, he continued his work as a child artist and then after a long break he got recognized for his work in the film “Mohabbatein”.

He worked as an actor, model, writer, producer and even as a director. But shifting his career didn’t really help his career from sinking. Though he won a National Award as a director, his work never got any fame and he just faded away from the limelight.

10. Nargis Fakhri

This American model who came all the way to India to start a new career really impressed the viewers and the critics with her debut film “Rockstar”. She also received Filmfare for Best Debut Actress nomination and her other film “Madras Cafe” added to her victory. She also worked in “Housefull 3” but after that, she stopped getting mainstream roles and was then spotted in some item songs only. And now her work has started fading and people don’t really talk about her anymore.
