Midfielder Cristante has scored one goal this season and registered two assists in 17 games
Cristante, who was initially eligible to represent Canada through his father before choosing Italy, turns 25 next month and is under contract at Roma until June 2024.
He has played 17 games in all competitions so far this season, netting once against Sassuolo and registering two assists, but he also spent more than two months out with a thigh muscle tear.
The creative Roma midfielder has also yet to spend a significant amount of time at any one club since making his professional debut for AC Milan in December 2011.
Cristante was bought by Portuguese side Benfica in 2014 before returning on loan to Serie A with Palermo, Pescara and Atalanta.
The latter bought him outright in 2018 but he was immediately loaned out to Roma, who he joined permanently in February last year.
