5 Times Our Bollywood Celebrities Fought On Twitter

Bollywood is a big industry consisting of different kind of actors and actresses. As a result, there have been many occasions when the stars have got into spat with each other not only in the real world but the virtual world i.e. social media as well. Here, we’ll have a look at some of those occasions when the celebs of the B-Town had a fight on the microblogging site Twitter.

Hrithik Roshan vs Kangana Ranaut

The spat between Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan isn’t hidden from anyone. Both the actors got into a relationship after working in two films together in the early 2010s. However, as time passed by, the news of the two’s separation started to come out in the open. Amidst all the chaos, Kangana indirectly called Hrithik a ‘silly ex’ in 2014. This didn’t go well with him and he stormed all the way to twitter and wrote, “There are more chances of me having had an affair with the pope than any of the wonderful women the media has been naming. Thanks but no thanks.”

Consequently, the brawl became uglier and the two took many legal actions against each other. In this fight of allegations and accusations, Twitter also played an important role by providing them the platform.

Siddharth Malhotra vs KRK

More than his films and reviews, Kamal R Khan is famous for his controversies. Back in 2016, he once got engaged into a Twitter-battle with Siddharth Malhotra. Back then, Siddharth and Alia had gotten featured on the cover page of Vogue magazine in a very bold avatar. Howbeit, KRK didn’t like Alia’s photo in the cover and went on to call her a ‘bacchi’. He wrote, “Alia looks so Bacchi in panty but still some people keep forcing her to wear it.”

This derogatory comment agitated Alia’s then-rumoured boyfriend Sid, who went on to slam KRK on Twitter. He wrote on the microblogging site, “Sir ! We also try very hard to tell u to shut up but u keep tweeting !”

The conversation continued further and KRK replied, “Sir Ji @S1dharthM 130Cr ppl of India also try very hard to tell you to stop acting but you keep doing films to harass them.” As a reply to this comment, the Student of the year, in all his prestige, advised KRK to join English classes.

Bipasha Basu vs Ameesha Patel

IIFA 2011 must have been one to remember for Bipasha Basu and Ameesha Patel. The two actresses ended up wearing exactly the same dress with a different colour. While Bipasha’s dress was off-white in colour, Ameesha wore one in Yellow. However, the two still landed up wearing the same design in the award show. Once it ended, the Jism actor tweeted from her official handle, “IIFA night was great! Thank you Toronto. Do not feel like leaving but sadly have to leave! Had the best time ever! Also last night a fellow actress landed up wearing the same dress in a diff color as me on d green carpet! It ws quite amusing even for me. So next time I’ll plan my green carpet outfit in advance n nt pull out things frm my cupboard last min! Anyways u can’t stop the world frm buying d same things n keep a tab on all!”

Ameesha, on the other hand, got offended with the tweet and wrote, “Thank u sweethearts for loving my IIFA dresses. Ramona Narang, the designer made them 2 months in advance of the event. Fortunately, I don’t need to copy anyone. Even my red launch party dress was Ramona’s creation as she knows me n my style since we were kids. I know u all r upset at some nasty n unrequired comments made by another actor. But don’t b upset. I’m really unaffected. I don’t care if ten people wear same outfit bkos clothes don’t make a person. Its ur own charm n how u carry it. So I’m chilled. We all have r distinct style. N that is natural to us n not by the clothes we wear. N yes designer Ramona Narang is a family friend since I was a kid. She knows me v well. As for copying. Y wud I??? How silly!”

Nonetheless, things eventually got sorted and both the actresses even worked together for a magazine’s cover.

Karan Johar vs Ram Gopal Verma

Ram Gopal Verma and Karan Johar have never got along well together. They’ve often been seen getting engaged in a spat on Twitter. One such instance occurred in 2013 when RGV, who is famous for bombing controversial tweets, called KJ’s Student of the year as Disaster of the year. On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, he wrote, “If someone takes off from Karan johar’s Student of the year and makes Teacher of the year it will become the Disaster of the year”

An annoyed KJo called out Ram Gopal Verma and said that disasters were his territory. He further added that he couldn’t be replaced by anyone in that aspect. In precise words, Johar said, “Disaster of the year is your territory Ramu…no one can ever replace the comfortable place you have made for yourself there.”

Taran Adarsh vs Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor’s aggressive and blunt nature isn’t hidden from anyone. The lad never fails to confront any issue on public platforms. About a decade ago, the versatile actor once messed with the film critic Taran Adarsh. Shahid’s movie Mausam was released at that time and Taran, updating about the movie, wrote, “Shahid’s biggest opener, but also Shahid’s biggest release in terms of print count & screens. Hence, numbers are below the mark. The business trends indicate a decline on weekdays.”

Shahid didn’t like this tweet and retorted back immediately. He wrote, “So all those trying so hard to screw mausam can go screw themselves .. Waise bhi aajkal kuchh logon ke adarsh buri tarha gir chuke hain.”

Taran Adarsh was very much surprised with SK’s response. He later on advised him to rather focus on the shortcomings of his own movie and not abuse the critic in public.
