The countdown has already begun!
Netflix is surely storming with indefinite teen drams this year. It just announced that the famous teen controversial teen drama series 13 Reasons Why is finally set to premiere on June 5 2020 on Netflix. This mystery drama first released on Netflix on March 31 2017, based on a novel by Jay Asher titled the same, developed by Brain Yorkey. It was lashed with immense criticism based on their graphic depiction of rape, sexual assault, suicide, etc. Some found the show completely implausible. But the fans never stopped showing support, making it the second most-watched season on Netflix after 30 days of its premiere. It successfully pulled the mass together with its portrayal of traumatizing teen angst amongst one another, and other vital issues that call to be addressed urgently.
The first season revolved around the troubles and mishaps shrouded over Liberty High students, when a fellow student Hannah Baker(Katherine Langford) commits suicide and leaves 13 recorded cassette tapes with Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette), each recounting the reasons why she killed herself. The second season reveals more secrets, and further hunts down the remaining students at Liberty High, with a fine portrayal of individual traumas, fights, and other dark subject matter. Ended with Bryce’s trial on sexual assault, and Tyler’s mass shooting at the school dance. The third season took a turn with the murder of the assaulter Bryce Walker, and Monty who was later framed for his murder; which did incredibly well regardless of the staggering negative reviews and criticism by both critics and viewers.

The final season for the series will be released on 5 June 2020, on Netflix. The showrunner Brian Yorkey confirmed that this time it consists of only 10 episodes, as it remains purely narrative-focused. Netflix also released a goodbye video on May 11 2020, with the song ‘The Night We Met’ by Lord Huron playing in the background. And only if you can stop the tears running down your cheeks after watching that.

13 Reasons Why trailer and what we know so far.
We see the gang coming together as a team once again in the official trailer. Winston (Monty’s boyfriend) also shows up at Liberty High, pairs up with Luke to expose the real murderer and prove Monty innocent. Meanwhile Clay still hasn’t freed from all the hallucinations which began after Hannah Baker’s death. We see him taking therapy in this season. There are obvious rippling effects on the entire group which could be seen getting into fights. Alex and Zach could be seen smashing the school doors and windows. Bryce’s character makes a suspicious appearance as well, and Tyler is probably involved in some serious drug deal or who knows!
