We are talking about the songwriter for ‘Teri Mitti’ Manoj Muntashir. Manoj has undoubtedly given us one of the most soulful patriotic songs to date. All he wants is an appreciation for his masterpiece. Manoj tweeted his views on Twitter.
Not only him there are 10 other celebrities who don’t visit Award Shows for certain reasons.
1. Amir Khan
Everyone has noticed Mr. Perfectionist is missing from award shows. Rumors are, something similar happened to him earlier. He was expecting the actor of the year for Rangeela but it was taken by Shah Rukh Khan for DDLJ.
2. Emraan Hashmi
He has set his steps in the industry after all his bold roles. But no one ever spotted him in an award show. He believes viewers’ appreciation is worth more than these trophies.
3. Ajay Devgn
Ajay is a very famous name in the industry. He has recently given his 100th film to the industry. But, he isn’t seen in any award show for the last 15 years. He says, these shows are just money-making tactics and are unfair too. He believes awards are given as concerned to profit and not about talent.
4. Kangana Ranaut
Kangana is a very fierce actress. She believes in being honest, no matter how savage it gets. When asked about it, she said, she has better things to do than wasting time watching them. Also, she believes in her work and the viewer’s reviews.
5. Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known for his tremendous efforts and dedication towards his work. He went on breaking the various taboos of the industry. Getting an award is one among them. He stays away from this business and gives due importance to his audience’s review.
6. Akshay Kumar
Akshay is the most honest person in the industry. He decided not to go to these functions after receiving an award himself. He said he wasn’t actually deserving and there were better choices.
7. Tapsee Pannu
Tapsee did visit the show, but rarely. She was upset about being sidelined even after giving the very best performance in movies like ‘pink’. Even she doesn’t support these money-making tactics.
8. Sridevi
Our lost legend. She gave up on award shows after a betrayal. She was promised to get the best actor award for ‘English Vinglish’ but the decision changed the last moment. She was very angry and upset after this.
9. John Abraham
John has been nominated quite a few times. But his views don’t favor these shows. He made it clear, these shows are just an entertainment thing and are rarely authentic.
10. Sunny Deol
The very popular name in Bollywood. He also stopped being a part of these award shows after an unexpected decision. He didn’t like his very popular movie ‘Border’ being sidelined and the award being given to SRK’s ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’.
